Stoney River assisted living and memory support community, located at 14401 Nowthen Blvd. NW, Ramsey, MN, earned the 2019 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for its commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The distinction is the first of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program that recognizes long term and post-acute care organizations across the nation for quality.
“This recognition provides national, external validation of our team’s hard work and commitment to providing high quality care and support to the older adults we are privileged to serve,” said Kelsey Nyline, Stoney River’s Executive Director.
Based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, a nationally recognized method for improving business performance, the program sets high standards for quality and excellence. The Stoney River team originally focused on care initiatives and culinary service and is working toward an even higher level of achievement by building upon the success of Stoney River’s VIVA! programming. “Our goal is to continue to promote opportunities for residents to live joyful and fulfilled lives by adding more resident-led programs, volunteer and service opportunities and intergenerational activities,” Nyline said.
The award was formally presented during AHCA/NCAL’s 70th Convention & Expo in Orlando, Florida, October 13-16, 2019.
